I want to personally thank you for taking time to learn more about Combustion Parts, Inc. (CPI) and give you insight into how we have become a successful alternative for your after-market needs.

 

When I started working in the gas turbine industry in 1999, turbine operators were being charged outrageous prices for new OEM replacement parts and had no reliable, quality after-market option. Over the last 15 years, the combustion turbine replacement parts market has seen a great expansion of available options… and CPI has been at the forefront of this change in transition pieces and combustion liners.
 
OUR VISION
 
Become the default after-market provider of transition pieces and cap and liners assemblies for GE gas turbines by delivering consistently high quality products with dependable delivery at competitive prices.
 
Established in 2000, CPI has delivered over 3,500 transition pieces and liners to customers all over the world with zero fit-up or quality issues. This impeccable quality record, combined with excellent value, has allowed us to establish a loyal and growing customer base.
 
CPI GROWTH AND VALUES
 
For the last decade, CPI has grown steadily and now has an installed base with Over 10,500,000 fired hours on CPI parts. A few key differentiators fueled this growth:

  • Provide OEM equivalent parts: Our parts are designed and manufactured to be replicas of the OEM parts. For 7FA+EL TPs and caps, CPI is the only after-market provider that can offer our customer true inter-changeability with their OEM fleet of parts.
  • Give our customers both quality AND value: Every single part we make is 3rd party inspected. Our quality specifications are more stringent than the OEM. And thus, our quality record is unblemished… and yet our prices are between 25 to 50% below the OEM.
  • Stock assemblies to offer short lead times: Typical lead times are 0 to 8 weeks. Significant raw material stores and work-in-process inventory allow us to support multi-set orders very quickly.
  • Offer unparalleled expertise and support: Our management and technical experts have over 60 years experience fabricating transition pieces and liners. We share this knowledge WITH our customers to help them better understand the type of parts they truly need and partner for the long term… not just one transaction.

    RECENT EVOLUTION
     
    In 2010, I’m proud to say that my Father formally joined me at CPI and purchased 49% of the company. Although often the inspiration and financier, he’s now a key part of our management team and is helping to expand the business into new areas.

    For much of our existence, CPI has relied on other manufacturers to conduct much of our primary assembly activities. In May 2012, CPI opened the doors of our new shop in El Cajon, California (just East of San Diego). This facility has enabled us to dramatically expand our capacity, offer even shorter/more flexible lead times, and instill our quality and customer focused approach into every aspect of manufacturing. Although a good friend once told me that “manufacturing is the world of Maalox and aspirin”, we are enjoying expanding the “CPI Family” each month with new capabilities and new faces.
     
    In the last couple of years, we have focused on growing our sales base.

  • Non-US Sales: We were qualified by Saudi Electric Company in January 2011 and are proud to call them a current and growing customer.
  • 7FA+EL Combustion Parts: CPI now offers 24,000 hour CI transition pieces, combustion liners, and combustion caps. We stock them for immediate delivery.
  • New product development efforts and sales alliances with partners in China, Japan and South Korea.
